Extension Artist, Alisha Alexander has 17 years experience doing hair extensions, has been wearing extensions for over 25 years and researching and experimenting with various methods since 1991. She is a Certified Masterclass Expert in I-tip, Microtip, One-step Weft, Smart Tabs, Keratip, Plastic Tube, Clip-ins, Wigs and Hairpieces from The Hair Shop.

Hair Extensions are an art, and are not taught in Cosmetology School. What sets Alisha apart from other Extension Artists is that she has been wearing extensions in various forms for over 25 years, and she learned the skill 17 years ago through years of research, and passion for having the most natural looking, thickest, longest hair possible without damage. She is extremely meticulous, skilled, patient and knowledgeable about Hair Extensions. She cares as much about her client's hair as she does about her own, taking great pride in the quality of her work.
About Ultra Glam Extensions
Ultra Glam Hair uses 100% Human Remy hair and an Extension application method called Micro links, or Linkies. The links have a silicone lining which acts as a protector, and no metal touches the hair. They are applied without the use of glue or chemicals, and cause no distress to the client's hair. Application usually takes 4.5 hours and lasts approximately 2-3 months. Maintenance appointments every 2-3 months can allow the client extension hair to last for 6 months to a year before replacing it.
The first step is a consultation where we determine the client hair color, and arrange to order the human i-tip extension hair. Depending on the amount of hair and the quality level we choose, the average cost of hair is $200-400.
ABOUT THE METHOD
SILICONE LINED MICRORINGS
I use Silicon-lined Micro-links, also known as "Linkies". Nothing is glued to your hair; there is no time-consuming weaving or braiding, and there is no tension stress pulling your hair because of the extension, and the linkie is nearly weightless. Once the full head of extensions is applied, I razor cut the extension hair to blend as naturally as possible with your own hair. The end result is a beautiful, natural-looking head of hair, which typically takes about 4-6 hours and lasts about 2-3 months. With proper care and routine follow up maintenance, the hair can be used for 6 months to a year.
A section of the client hair is put into a small silicon-lined metal micro-link tube, called a linkie. Then a pre-bonded human hair extension is put into the linkie tube. A special clamp tool closes the tube around the hair, holding the extension in. Removing is just as quick and simple. To remove, the clamp tool is used to squeeze the tube open again in the round position. The micro-link slips right off with the extension, which can be reused for several months.
